But writer-director Hitesh Kevalya has so far broken the image which was laughing at gay characters in Bollywood very closely. There is no such glimpse in this film which is usually done with Bollywood gay characters.
Actually 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' is more about homophobia than homosexuality. It considers more about what changes in the family and society after being gay than any changes within a gay. Even after this, the way Ayushman Khurana wears his nose in the nose and his expressions of love make the film unique.

Then the film had shown the problems of the people getting married on the screen well after reaching the age. But the bar film is not at all weaker than the previous film.
